Concepto del Proyecto
El proyecto consistio en dar a conocer las comunidades Indígenas de Rey Curré y Las Vegas ubicadas en el Cantón de Buenos Aires de Puntarenas, en la zona sur de Costa Rica, tal y como las ven los niños de esas localidades. A su vez, los mismos niños tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar y conocer parte de nuestras ciudades y experimentar un poco de nuestra vida cotidiana.
Como lo hicimos?
Visitamos las comunidades indigenas de Rey Curre y Las Vegas, gracias a la ayuda de las maestras doña Celedina Mora y Seydi Rojas, que nos abrieron las puertas a sus escuelitas, y nos permitieron hablar con los niños, comentarles la idea que teniamos, y preguntarles si querian ser parte de este proyecto, afortundamete todos los niños accedieron a participar de este experimento.
En que consistió el Proyecto?
Les dimos una camara desechable a cada niño, a 12 niños de la escuela de Las Vegas ( la totalidad de los alumnos) y a 10 alumnos de la escuela de Rey Curre ( fueron seleccionados por los maestros ) y les dimos dos semanas de tiempo para que tomaran las fotos que quisieran, les dimos una guia muy basica, les pedimos que tomaran fotos de sus amigos, de la escuela, de la familia, de la comunidad y de las mascotas, no les prohibimos nada y los alentamos a que nos enseñaran su comunidad y su forma de ver las cosas.
Conociendo la Comunidad Indigena de Las Vegas
Las camara fotograficas fueron donadas por IFSA, que tambien dono el revelado digital, y la impresion de las fotografias para la exposicion.
Dos semanas despues de repartidas las camaras volvimos a las comunidades, nos sorprendio ver como los niños les habian hecho dibujos a las camaras y tambien pulseritas tejidas por ellos, para decorarlas. Las camaras las llevamos a la IFSA, donde nos revelaron todas las camaras, y pudimos tener finalmete todas las fotos que tomaron digitalizadas.
Nos dimos a la tarea de seleccionar 50 fotos de mas de 800 fotografias, tuvimos la dificil tarea de seleccionarlas con la ayuda de varios fotografos nacionales que nos ayudaron en este proceso, Julia Ardon y Pablo Cambronero.
Las 50 Fotos Seleccionadas
Una vez seleccionadas las mejores 50 fotos, la empresa IFSA nos las imprimio para la gran exposicion que teniamos planeada en el CENAC, gracias a la ayuda de Irene (APELLIDO ) que nos dio un espacio en el CENAC, para la celebracion del dia de las culturas.

La Exposición en el CENAC
El grupo de La Nacion, nos ayudo con la impresion de tarjetas postales, y de marcadores para libros, con las mejores fotos de los niños, con la venta de estos productos pudimos, traer a los niños a San Jose, para la exposicion, y comprar los materiales para llevar electricidad a la Escuela de las Vegas, y poder comprar computadoras para ambas escuelas.
Tuvimos la suerte de contar con apoyo de amigos, para traer a todos los 22 niños, mas algunos papas y profesores, a pasear a San Jose, un fin de semana, y participar en la exposicion de las fotografias en el CENAC, el domingo.
Llevamos a los chicos y chicas el sabado a pasear al parque de diversiones, donde pasaron un dia lleno de juegos,

En la noche del sabado, los llevamos a donde nuestros amigos del TinJo, donde los trataron como reyes y reinas, y les dieron un recorrido por el restaurante, donde compartieron con toda la gente linda del TinJO.

Mas tarde pudieron pasar la noche descansando en el Hostel Casa Yoses, donde hubo peliculas, muchos juegos, y muchos regalos que nos mandaron Padrinos y Madrinas de todas partes de Costa Rica.

El domingo tempranito fuimos a ver peliculas al Cine Variedades, donde nuevamente fueron tratados de la mejor forma, despues del cine pudieron acompañarnos al CENAC, donde los sorprendieron con las fotografias impresas de sus mascotas y amigos, ahi la gente los trato como estrellas, pidiendo que les firmaran las tarjetas postales que habian adquirido. En el CENAC nos acompañaron nuestros amigos de los Zancudos Vivarachos, y pudimos contar con la visita de los Diablitos de Rey Curre, que amenizaron la tarde con sus juegos.
Los niños y niñas vivieron un fin de semana de lujo, gracias al apoyo de muchos amigos.
Pudimos llevar la exposicion a varias empresas nacionales, donde logramos acercar aun mas, las comunidades de Rey Curre, y Las Vegas, a todas las personas interesadas en conocer un poco mas de nuestro pais.
Volvimos a las comunidades, primero con Gerardo Jimenez, que nos colaboro con el presupuesto de materiales, y despues con Carlos (APELLIDO ) que nos dono su trabajo y logro hacer la instalacion electrica en la escuela de Las Vegas, por primera vez la escuelita vio la luz y se preparo para el siguiente paso, recibir las computadoras.
Llevando Luz
Este paso quiza fue el mas emocionante para todos, pudimos llevar 2 computadoras a la escuela de Rey Curre, que ya contaba con un equipo muy basico, y llevamos 3 computadoras nuevas a la escuela de Las Vegas, donde los niños siguieron paso a paso la instalacion, y esperaron pacientemente, hasta que ya todo estuvo listo, los escritorios nuevos, las regletas, los monitores, todo estuvo en su lugar. Logramos tambien llevar a 3 amigos de la Fundacion Omar Dengo, que les dieron a los chicos y chicas un curso relampago de 2 dias, donde les enseñaron las funciones basicas de las computadoras, y como manejarlas correctamente.
Llevando las compus
Conseguimos una alianza formidable con la Fundacion Omar Dengo, ellos capacitaron 3 maestras de la escuela de Rey Curre, y a la directora de las Vegas, y tambien a 10 chiquitos y chiquitas, por mas de un mes, para que pudieran seguir con programas diseñados para ellos, y que contaran con la aprobacion del Ministerio de Educacion.
Actualmente estamos trabajando para ampliar el laboratorio de computadoras de la escuela de Rey Curre.
Este proyecto piloto fue todo un exito, y funciono gracias a la ayuda de nuestros amigos, sin ellos no hubieramos podido dar estos pasos tan importantes, en la busqueda de una Costa Rica mas solidaria, buscando un mismo sol para todos.
